Equal Employment Policy
Sterling Medical has always expressed full support and commitment to the principle of equal employment opportunity. In accordance with applicable laws, it is our policy to recruit, hire, train, promote, and administer any and all personnel actions without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin or ancestry, sexual orientation, personal appearance, family responsibility, matriculation, physical or mental disability, political affiliation, marital status, status as a disabled or Vietnam Era Veteran, and any other protected classification designated by federal, state, municipal, or local law.
Consistent with Sterling Medical’s policy against harassment, any incident or unequal treatment or harassment because of these characteristics should immediately be brought to the attention of a member of Sterling Medical’s management. Sterling Medical does not and will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.
In fulfillment of its commitment to the principle of equal employment opportunity, Sterling Medical takes affirmative action to ensure applicants are employees, and employees are treated during performance, without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. This commitment applies to employment, upgrading, transfer, and all other actions by the company throughout the course of employment.
Sterling Medical does not and will not discharge or discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because such employee or applicant has inquired about, discussed, or disclosed the compensation of the employee or applicant or another employee or applicant. This shall not apply to instances in which an employee who has access to the compensation information of other employees or applicants as a part of such employee’s job functions discloses the compensation of such other employees or applicants to individuals who do not otherwise have access to such information, unless such disclosure is legally required
In the event that any prior employment agreement (“Employment Agreement”) entered into by the Company is inconsistent with Sterling Medical’s commitment to transparency of employee or applicant compensation, or contains any provision that is inconsistent with the Company’s commitment to not prevent disclosure of employee or applicant compensation to other employees or applicants, except as specifically provided for above, such inconsistent provision will not be followed, enforced, or adhered to by the Company.
